                                                     Over 100 years of fame for our exceptional wines

Ferdinand Delaye founded the cellar in 1897, pioneer of the wine-growing in Visan, he was the first person who commercialised wine under the name Côtes du Rhône Visan. It became a cooperative cellar in 1937.

 “Les Coteaux de Visan” cellar is located on an exceptional soil: chalk and clay, stony hillsides facing South. Visan wine-growers have known how to maintain the tradition of quality and work restlessly to make exceptional wines.

 

Quality from the vineyard to the glass

“Les Coteaux de Visan” have established the parcels selection in 1992 and follow-up the vineyard in order to improve the quality of the grapes. The wine-growers choose the vine-varieties according to the soil and only the best parcels are selected to produce our prestigious wines according to the traditional wine-making method.

Moreover, the bottling in our cellar and the certification for quality insurance ISO 9001 norm version 2008 represent an additional warrant of quality.

 

Organic growing

The winegrowers of “Les Coteaux de Visan” cellar preserve nature and environment

The setting up of an organic growing is the logical following up of the rational and respectful of environment growing that Les Coteaux de Visan cellar have started for many years.

Since 2007, a new step has been got through, a group of fifteen members of the cellar who love nature and authenticity, have get involved in organic growing and do their best to bring more satisfaction to their consumers who share their  passion for nature. The approach of both winegrowers and cellar has been certified by “Qualité France- Bureau Veritas”.
